Wrestling Classic

Every December, the Mid-America Center transforms into a juggernaut of grit, determination, and athletic excellence. The Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic brings together nearly 80 elite boys and girls high school teams from six states for one of the premier wrestling tournaments in the Midwest. Across 12 mats and two intense days of competition, hundreds of student-athletes test their limits, chase championship dreams, and showcase the values of hard work and resilience.

But putting on an event of this scale takes a community.

Why Your Support Matters

Hosting a tournament featuring elite regional talent requires significant logistical backing—from facility rentals and mat operations to awards, hospitality, and athlete safety. Your donation directly helps us:

• Elevate the Student-Athlete Experience:  Provide top-tier facilities, professional tournament structure, and memorable awards for both boys and girls divisions.

• Expand Opportunities:  Support the continued growth and inclusion of girls' wrestling divisions on a major competitive stage.

• Strengthen the Community:  Bring thousands of visitors, families, and wrestling fans to Council Bluffs, injecting energy and economic support into local businesses.
